2008_Paris_Salon Maison & Objet_L.D.d’Estrées et Éric Trochon
Distract the eater by imagining a dreamlike culinary experience.
The "onirique" theme of the show ‘Maison et Objet’ of 2008 made me stage, a dinner of press putting the guests into an imaginary universe. The dinner guests discover by entering in the dining room a long white table set with… nothing ! They sit down, cautious. On this «horizontal screen ", projected images form a virtual table, then the tablecloth disappears snatched, letting appear the real place setting. And the meal, conducted by the chef Éric Trochon.
After the entrée Presque là, the headwaiters put on the table big eggs which they break to create fantastic animals: a room of gustative curiosities. Quail homarus / Butterfly of red mullet with feather / Coturnix caparisoned in morels. Then a multitude of pastries trompe-l'oeil strews the table and suits in the sharing of a big exhilarating dessert.
